Fantastic news. A court in Massachusetts has rejected the case brought against Rev. Scott Lively by an extremist militant LGBT group.
“SMUG” (Sexual Minorities Uganda) attacked and harrassed Rev. Lively by bringing a preposterous charge that in opposing the promotion of homosexuality he was guilty of “crimes against humanity”, a charge invented for the perpetrators of Nazi genocide. If he had lost, Rev Lively stood to lose upwards of $5 million, the amount of legal fees that SMUG had run up by paying a team of fourteen lawyers to work on the case for four years, plus an indefinite amount of money they were demanding in “damages” for supposed harm to their clients. The full bill could have come to $10 million.
The case has dragged on for four years, subjecting him and his family to a long and highly stressful ordeal. He was subjected to lies and blamed for the murder of the activist David Kato whose death (at the hands of a male prostitute he had exploited) had nothing to do with so-called “homophobia”.
While the judge, Michael Ponsor, clearly had no time for the Christian point of view and openly sympathized with the LGBT ideology, Lively was skillfully defended by the lawyers of Liberty Counsel, who argued that the US court had no powers to uphold any claim brought by a group in Uganda. SMUG was of course set up as a puppet by devious USA LGBT extremists, in order to use it as a weapon to attack conservatives and Christians. Judge Ponsor should have thrown the case out four years ago, and had a chance to do so. At least he did so in the end, and dismissed the case.
Attorneys Horatio Mihet and Roger Gannam with Scott Lively
It’s great news, and another hopeful sign that the wind is changing and the era of President Trump will be fairer for everyone, especially Christians targeted by aggressive LGBT bullying.
Rev Lively has escaped the worst but this will not be justice until he is awarded substantial damages by the US courts for vexatious harassment. He certainly is owed $ millions and so are all those bullied by the Gaystapo.
If anyone is guilty of genocide, it is surely the LGBTs who have spread epidemics that are still killing millions of people worldwide.
Victory for American Pastor Falsely Accused of ‘Crimes Against Humanity’

Pastor Lively commented: “I thank God for His deliverance from this outrageous and malicious litigation, designed solely to silence my voice for biblical truth on LGBT issues and to cause me pain and suffering for daring to speak against the ‘gay’ agenda. I also thank Mat Staver and my Christian attorneys at Liberty Counsel, especially Horatio Mihet and Roger Gannam, who took on and defeated SMUG’s team of 14 lawyers with exemplary skill and fortitude.” And, he continued, “I thank Judge Michael Ponsor, as well, for overcoming his clear ideological bias enough to acknowledge the legal deficiency of SMUG’s case and bring it to a close – even though he had the option four years ago to dismiss this case following a U.S. Supreme Court ruling that slammed the door shut on SMUG’S specious legal reasoning.”
